NAVEGaid ships storefront text in 31 languages, and theme editor labels in 20. Text you type into sections yourself is translated separately with Shopify’s Translate & Adapt app.

Included languages

Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese.

Changing default wording

To change built-in text such as “Add to cart” or “Sold out”:

  1. Open the theme content editor

In Online Store → Themes, open the … menu on NAVEGaid and select Edit default theme content.

  2. Find the phrase

Search for the text, for example Add to cart.

  3. Replace and save

Enter your wording and select Save.

Selling in more languages

  1. Add and publish the language

In Settings → Languages, select Add language, then publish it.

  2. Install Translate & Adapt

Install Shopify’s free Translate & Adapt app.

  3. Translate your content

Translate products, collections, menus and the text in your sections. Section text is listed under the theme’s content in the app.

  4. Show the language selector

Switch on the language selector in the header, the announcement bar or the footer.

Two kinds of text

Built-in wording (buttons, labels, messages) comes from the theme’s language files. Text you entered in a section — a hero heading, for example — belongs to your store and is translated in Translate & Adapt.
