Licence and updates

How do I get my activation code?

Message us on Etsy with your order number, then enter the code under Theme settings → License. See Installation.

Which version am I using?

The current version is 1.0.0, built on Shopify Dawn 15.4.1. In the theme editor, open Theme settings → Theme information to see the version installed.

Will the theme update automatically?

No. Shopify only updates themes installed from the Theme Store. New versions are uploaded as a separate theme — see Updating.

Setup and store data

Does the theme include my menus, products and collections?

No. Those are store data and are created in the Shopify admin. The theme includes layouts, styles, sections and settings.

Why do new pages show demo text and images?

The shipped templates are filled with demo content so you can see each section working. Replace it section by section in the theme editor.

Which menu does the header use?

main-menu by default. You can choose any menu in the header section. Footer menus are chosen per block. See Navigation & Menus.

How do I switch between the custom and standard header?

Theme settings → Header → Enable Custom Header. See Header.

Customization

Can I change colors and fonts without code?

Yes — in Theme settings → Colors and Typography. See Typography & Colors.

Can I use a font that is not in the Shopify library?

Not from the editor. It needs the font files uploaded to the theme and a small code change. Many sections also let you pick fonts individually from their settings.

Why can I not add some sections from Add section?

Template sections such as Product information belong to one page type and cannot be added elsewhere. Some sections are also limited to certain templates or to the header or footer.

How many sections and blocks can a page have?

Shopify allows up to 25 sections per template and 50 blocks per section.

Products and collections

How do I show star ratings?

Install a reviews app that writes Shopify’s review metafields, or enter a manual rating. See Product Setup.

Why is the sale badge not showing?

The variant needs a Compare-at price higher than its price.

How do I give one collection a different layout?

Create an alternate collection template and assign it to that collection. See Templates & Pages.

Cart and checkout

How do I switch between drawer, page and popup cart?

Theme settings → Cart → Type. See Cart & Checkout.

Can I customize checkout from the theme?

No. Checkout is styled under Settings → Checkout in your admin.
